Thanks for stopping by to learn more! I'm Serena, the creative force behind Archer Mountain Acres! I embarked on this journey to turn my passion for farming and gardening into a business. The experience has been exciting, and at times (social media) a little outside of my comfort zone. It's renewed my sense of purpose and responsibility to provide high-quality food to my community.
I'm an Agricultural Business graduate of Oregon State University and was raised on a mixed crop and livestock farm in Sheridan, OR (in the Willamette Valley). I wanted my own children to experience the same joys that shaped my childhood: feeding animals in my pajamas, wearing rubber boots 24/7, and savoring veggies straight from the garden. Now, here in Skamania, I am expanding on that legacy with a thriving garden, lively landscaping, and plenty of farm animals. Farming, for me, is a connection to the beauty and rhythm of life.
But I’m not alone in this! James, my best friend of 30+ years, is the true jack-of-all-trades behind the scenes. From building to problem-solving, he’s been my rock, supporting every step of the way to make Archer Mountain Acres come together.
I am eager to share with you the satisfaction of quietly tended and handpicked ingredients, the beauty within every petal, and the joy that a big ole bakery cookie can bring!
About the Farm
Our farm in Skamania, WA is a work in progress. We prioritize being able to avoid reliance on large equipment and harmful pesticides. Our small but mighty gardens provide clean and abundant food that nourishes both the soil and our bodies. Currently, we have a high tunnel for heat-loving veggies like eggplant, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. Our veggie garden with snap peas, carrots, broccoli, assorted lettuce, and green beans have one of the best views of the Columbia River and our flower garden is home to daffodils, tulips, zinnias, snapdragons, ranunculus, and sunflowers.
